Its official Skydrive has changed its name to OneDrive as confirmed by an email from Microsoft received by users of the service today. This morning, millions of users have received an email SkyDrive formalizing the name change service cloud storage from Microsoft; it now bears the name of OneDrive.
We already know the name of the new service since the end of January when Microsoft confirmed rumors of name change after an agreement with the company British Sky Broadcasting. Some of their products also bore the name of Sky and a lawsuit was eventually forced Microsoft to reach an agreement.
